  • Sports Massage Therapy

A specialization of Swedish massage that aids the body to achieve maximum physical performance.  Administered before the physical activity, it can help protect against pain and injuries, while boosting performance.  Following exercise, it helps remove lactic acid and restore normal muscle tone and range of motion.  It helps the serious athlete as well as the casual athlete perform at peak efficiency.

  • Deep Tissue Massage

Used to release chronic patterns of muscle tension using slow strokes, direct pressure or friction directed with and against the grain of the muscles with fingers, thumbs or elbow.  Releases chronically tense tissue, breaks up adhesions and re-educates holding patterns that cause dysfunction/pain which breaks the pain-spasm-pain cycle.  It is applied with greater pressure and to deeper layers of muscle than Swedish massage.

  • Swedish/Relaxation Massage Therapy

The classic form people usually think of when they say the word "massage".  There are five basic strokes, all used to enhance circulation towards the heart.  Vigorous manipulation of the soft tissue in the form of broad general strokes is combined with specific work on problem areas to enhance flow of blood and lymphatic fluids, relax tense muscles and energize the body.
